Our Process
We begin our door making process by starting with rough milled lumber and processing it over the course of a few days, This allows the lumber ample time to rest and for any natural movement in the lumber to occur as tension is released throughout the milling process. Taking our time with this step helps ensure that your door is perfectly flat and true for years to come

We use superior construction methods with our doors. Rather than the industry standard dowels with heat activated glue that you get from a store-bought door, we use solid wood tenons and marine grade epoxy on all of our doors. This ensures no seams will ever open along any joints,

More About our Doors
Lovingly called "Forever Doors" we build our doors to stand the test of time. From our lumber selection to our finishing process, every step of our door building is meant to ensure that the door lasts the lifetime of your home.
Our lumber selection process depends on the usage of the doors. For exterior paint grade doors we typically use Quarter-Sawn Sapele Mahogany. We will use other hardwoods upon request depending on client needs all so long as the species selected is exterior grade. Additionally all panels for these doors will be made of solid lumber with no sheet goods. If veneer is required for the project we will fabricate all the veneer in house in order to make sure it meets our quality standards; this is almost always an 1/8" thick veneer of solid wood that is glued down to the door substrate with West System Marine Epoxy for maximum adheasion and durability
We've produced one off-historical reproduction doors as well as supplying entire houses with door packages . Typically we supply doors pre-hung in a solid wood jamb, using maple for paint grade or whichever species of wood is required for the project.
To the left is an example of some closet doors we produced for a Victorian era Shingle style home situated on historic Eastern Point in Gloucester Ma. These doors were created to be a perfect replacement door for the old doors in the home which were to far-gone to save. We replicated the molding profiles existing on the old doors and supplied more than 25 interior doors for the project, all pre-hung in jambs and ready for install.

Additional Products
In addition to our exterior doors we offer a number of other exterior millwork products. We have done historical reproduction work of exterior finials, windows, brackets, arches and more. We use the same construction principals with these products as we do our doors, ensuring that they last for years to come.
